project: Dig 'N' Pay

BRANDING + DESIGN + PRINT

How We Helped

Dig 'N' Pay was a project for a music promoter and record store owner. The proposition was to rebrand the intimate record store, that was, at the time mainly aimed at collectors and people in the industry.

A new look and feel was needed for the company and store that would be inclusive to newcomers of vinyl collection but not too drastic that it might scare off the regular shopping elite. We kept the layout and design simple; first starting with the logo, we decided to design an ambigram as we envisioned the logo be used as a vinyl sticker that would read each way as the record spun on the turntable.

We kept the layout of the stationary basic and used a deep muted ocean blue that would emphasis the logos warm and bright orange colour and circular layout.

To push the record shop look and feel home, we stylised photos of well known industry turntables as well as close up hi-def shots of vinyl records. We used this throughout the stationary and promotional artwork for the store.
